Each process starts with measurements of the client and the bike, using video on a turbo trainer as well as direct measurement. This highlights areas that can be developed to improve performance. Over time I have developed a fitting algorithm that has a very high success rate in establishing a powerful and aero position based on a strong biomechanical foundation and incorporating aerodynamic knowledge gained in personal and client experience.
Changes are made to position to maintain or establish a stable core from which to generate power while improving drag. Seemingly subtle changes can have a profound effect on comfort, stability and speed. The understanding of how position affects both stability and comfort is critical to this. For example there are crossovers between time trial and triathlon but an Ironman position has some very specific requirements that are not as important in time trials where the race is over when you get off the bike.
Most aero testing or performance bike fit sessions finish when the changes have been made. Aerevloution continues to provide support while the changes are verified, first checking that good power can be produced and that the new position is suitable for the client. Then most importantly race performance is assessed to ensure that a significant improvement has been made. This post-fit support takes the risk out of the process for the client at a very competitive price.
With new frames starting at £2,000 and rising to £5,000+, disc wheels from £1,000 to £4,000 it has never been more necessary to get a clear handle on where to find value in the upgrade market. Where used equipment is a good option and where it is noted where to find it. The aim is to provide the best Watts saved per pound spent of any aero improvement service and this is done by making considered adjustments rather than rushing easy changes and measuring race outcomes rather than CdA in artificial environments.
£450 in advance. This covers the process from initial measurements to verification of race performance. This is much more than a basic bike fit aside from the fact that any fit that is not measuring your drag runs a very high chance of making you slower, meaning you need to pay for another service to improve drag and then hope that works. Aerevolution charges once for the whole aero improvement process through to the verification of a significant improvement.
£950 in advance. This covers the process as described above for bookings with very short notice. Appointments scheduled within 48 hours of contact.
£500 in advance plus £40/hour travel. This covers the process as described above for bookings in your own home or other address that is most convenient for you.
Two levels of coaching and aero focussed support, both including aero development advice over the long term, CdA analysis on a race by race basis*, race strategy advice, training session focus periodised to target races. Access to aero testing sessions at Palmer Park for £200 per session (approx 2 hours).
TT Support Level £100/month with bike fit discounted to £350
TT Support Plus Level including session planning £150/month with bike fit discounted to £300
*Requires build up of comparative data, ideal for club events and out and back traditional courses, less useful on sporting courses ridden infrequently
